GOLDEN SKULL - MODEL PIECE

This golden skull model piece was sculpted from Chavant clay. The division line was made before moulding both sides separately. The magnets were pressed into one side of the seam. The skull sides were moulded from silicone with a plaster jacket. The model piece was cast out of Polyurethane resin. The magnets were added to both sides. The gold finish was created by using metallic powders and clear shellac, gold leaf and sealed with a gilding varnish.

The smooth chrome design was subsequently changed by the designers to a rougher and more textured finish.
